Photo Story About Experience: Located near Cape Perpetua, OR. I have said before and continue to insist that this is probably the most dangerous photo I have ever taken. To achieve the best effects required the right combination of medium-high tide, big surf, and of course good lighting. This all meant that in-between pictures I was getting hammered with waves while frantically trying to protect my camera and keep it dry. Meanwhile I’m standing about 150ft off shore surrounded by jagged rocks and uneven footing. Needless to say I was relieved when I was back on shore with my equipment and body still in one piece and functioning.

Thanks.
Can’t believe I live in Oregon, and have yet to visit this beautiful place!
It was well worth the trouble, wow!
Amazing.
Only word that can describe this picture.
breathtaking, both in the photo and what you had to do to get it
It’s a beautiful photograph, but I know the power of the ocean and can well understand your trepidation. I am quite familiar with the Cape Perpetua area and this photograph made me nervous just looking at it and thinking about the risks you took to get it. Yikes!
